Station - Instructions for candidate
You are an intern on the medical ward of a Perth metropolitan hospital.
Neha/Sanjay Iyer, an 82-year-old, underwent elective left hip replacement three days ago. The patient's daughter has come to the ward and will speak with you about her concerns.

Your tasks are to:
- Take a focused collateral history from the daughter about what she has observed and the patient's background.
- Request appropriate investigations.
- State your most likely diagnosis and two or three key differentials.
- Outline your initial management plan, including how you will investigate the cause and address immediate concerns.
- Summarise your findings and recommendations to the examiner.
- The patient is not in the room; you will take collateral history from the family member only.
- Findings and results will be provided by the examiner when appropriately requested.
- Please verbalise your examination findings and interpretation to the examiner.
This is a 15-minute station, with 2 minutes of reading time.
