You are an intern on the medical ward. The nurse calls you to Beverley Kowalski, 54, who is 15 minutes into a unit of red cells for anaemia and has suddenly become unwell.

  1. Perform an A to E assessment and treat as you go

  2. Outline to the examiner:

    • Your interpretation of the results
    • Your most likely diagnosis and differentials
    • Your management plan
  • A registered nurse is present to help you
  • You do not need to take a history
