Instructions

You are a medical student on placement in general practice. Lorraine Hollis, 67, has a long-standing painful right knee and has come for the steroid injection she asked for last week. Your GP supervisor will do the injection.

  1. Take a focused pre-procedure history

  2. Explain the injection and its risks to Mrs Hollis

  3. Obtain informed consent and agree an aftercare plan
