You are a medical student on placement in general practice. Your next patient is Ziad Khoury, 38, presenting with a cough he has had for six months.

  1. Take a focused history

  2. Outline to the examiner:

    • Your most likely diagnosis and differentials
  • You do not need to examine the patient
  • You do NOT need to summarise your findings to the examiner
  • The examiner will ask you questions at the end
