Instructions

You are an intern on the cardiology ward. Darren Rourke, 59, was admitted with episodes of chest tightness at rest. His troponin is normal and his ECG shows T-wave inversion. The cardiologist has booked a coronary angiogram for tomorrow morning.

  1. Take a focused pre-procedure history from Mr Rourke

  2. Explain the coronary angiogram and the management plan to Mr Rourke

  • You do not need to examine the patient

ChoiceHub writes these stations itself, from the ground up, across a wide range of clinical topics. They are not official exam material, and no university has written, reviewed or endorsed them. “Recommended for” only suggests the year and exam format a station suits.
