Instructions

You are a medical student on placement in general practice in Ellenbrook. Your next patient is Ivy Donnelly, 12, brought in by her mother, Kate, about a faint last year and her missed Year 7 vaccinations.

  1. Take a focused history from Ivy and her mother

  2. Outline to the examiner:

    • Your most likely diagnosis and differentials
    • Next steps in management, including relevant investigations
  • You do not need to summarise your findings to the examiner
  • You do not need to examine Ivy

ChoiceHub writes these stations itself, from the ground up, across a wide range of clinical topics. They are not official exam material, and no university has written, reviewed or endorsed them. “Recommended for” only suggests the year and exam format a station suits.
