Station - Instructions for candidate
You are a final-year medical student on placement in a general practice in Rockingham. The GP has asked you to see the next patient and report back.
Ella/Liam Walsh, 15, is here with a parent, who has agreed to wait outside so that you can talk with Ella/Liam on their own.

Your tasks are to:
- Take a focused history from the young person alone, including a structured psychosocial history.
- State your assessment and the differential diagnoses to the examiner.
- Outline your initial management plan and agree it with the young person, including what will be shared with the mother.
- You do NOT need to summarise your findings to the examiner.
- You do NOT need to examine the patient.
- Plan the station: about 6 minutes for the history and 4 minutes for the assessment and plan.
This is a 10-minute station, with 2 minutes of reading time.
