Station - Instructions for candidate
You are a medical student on general practice placement in Perth.
Tahlia Nguyen, a 24-year-old builder's labourer, has booked a same-day appointment for two days of burning when she passes urine and, since this morning, pink colour in the urine. She is otherwise well. Observations are normal.

Your tasks are to:
- Take a focused history of the presenting complaint.
- Perform a focused examination of the abdomen, suprapubic region and renal angles.
- Request and interpret the urinalysis.
- State your most likely diagnosis with differentials to the examiner.
- Outline your initial management plan.
- Explain the results and your plan to the patient.
- A midstream urine sample and dipstick are available on request.
- You do NOT need to summarise your findings to the examiner.
- You do not need to consent the patient for any procedure today.
This is a 15-minute station, with 2 minutes of reading time.
