You are a junior doctor working in a general practice in Perth.

Carmela Ferraro, a 43-year-old bookkeeper, has booked because her periods have become very heavy over the past year and she feels exhausted. The practice nurse has recorded her observations and noted that she looks pale. Some blood tests taken at a visit last week are available to the examiner if you request them.

Observations (practice nurse)BP 122/78 mmHg, HR 88 /min, weight 74 kg, BMI 28 kg/m2. Nurse comment: conjunctivae look pale.

Your tasks are to:
