Instructions

You are a medical student on placement in a remote community clinic in the Pilbara. Your next patient is Shanice Walker, 23, presenting with a vaginal discharge for two weeks. The nurse saw her this morning, examined her and took swabs.

  1. Take a focused history, including a sexual history

  2. Explain the result and your management plan to the patient

  • You do not need to examine the patient; the examiner will give you the nurse's findings and test results if you ask
  • You do not need to summarise your findings to the examiner
