Instructions

You are a medical student on placement in general practice. Your next patient is Javiera Soto, 30, who is 33 weeks pregnant, presenting with very itchy hands and feet for two weeks.

  1. Take a focused history

  2. Outline to the examiner:

    • Relevant investigations
    • Your most likely diagnosis and differentials
  • You do not need to examine the patient, discuss management or summarise your history
  • The examiner will give you the results of any investigations you request
  • The examiner will ask you questions at the end

ChoiceHub writes these stations itself, from the ground up, across a wide range of clinical topics. They are not official exam material, and no university has written, reviewed or endorsed them. “Recommended for” only suggests the year and exam format a station suits.
