You are an intern on the eye ward. Wendy Chua, 66, came in last night with a painful red right eye, haloes and vomiting. Her right eye pressure was 58; with treatment it is now 18. Both eyes have narrow drainage angles. The ophthalmologist recommends laser peripheral iridotomy to both eyes today.
Explain the laser treatment and obtain informed consent for laser peripheral iridotomy to both eyes
