You are a medical student on placement in general practice. Your next patient is Ayen Majok, 42, a primary school teacher presenting with a painful, red, watery left eye for three days.

  1. Take a focused history

  2. Outline to the examiner:

    • Your most likely diagnosis and differentials
  • You do not need to examine the patient
  • You do NOT need to summarise your findings to the examiner
  • The examiner will ask you one question at the end
