Station - Instructions for candidate
You are a final-year medical student on placement in a general practice in the northern suburbs of Perth. Your supervising GP has asked you to see this patient first.
Bec Hobbs, 31, has brought her son Liam, aged 6 months, for his scheduled vaccines. She has told the practice nurse she is 'not sure she wants to go ahead' and has asked to speak to a doctor first. Bec is holding Liam.

Your tasks are to:
- Explore Bec's concerns about today's vaccines and take a brief relevant history.
- Discuss the 6-month vaccines with Bec, including what they protect against and their side effects, in a way that responds to her concerns.
- Agree a plan with Bec for today and for follow-up.
- You do NOT need to examine Liam or to give any injection.
- You do NOT need to summarise the consultation to the examiner.
- Your supervising GP will join you at the end; you are not expected to make a referral.
