Instructions

You are a medical student on placement in general practice in Geraldton. Your next patient is Clinton Bennell, 46, presenting with ringing in his ears for the past two years.

  1. Take a focused history

  2. Outline to the examiner:

    • Your most likely diagnosis and differentials
  • You do not need to examine the patient, request investigations or discuss management
  • You do NOT need to summarise your findings to the examiner
  • The examiner will ask you one question at the end

ChoiceHub writes these stations itself, from the ground up, across a wide range of clinical topics. They are not official exam material, and no university has written, reviewed or endorsed them. “Recommended for” only suggests the year and exam format a station suits.
