You are a medical student on placement in general practice. Your next patient is Jesse Calder, 19, a carpentry apprentice asking for a medical certificate after missing a day of work.

  2. Outline to the examiner:

    • Your most likely diagnosis and differentials
  • You do not need to examine the patient or discuss management
  • You do not need to summarise your findings to the examiner
  • The examiner will ask you questions at the end
