Instructions

You are a medical student on placement in general practice. Your next patient is Grant Pellow, 48, a lawyer, presenting with a lump over his right shoulder blade that has been there for about three years.

  1. Examine the lump

  2. Outline to the examiner:

    • Your findings
    • Your most likely diagnosis and differentials
  • You do not need to take a history.
  • Please verbalise your examination; findings will be provided on request.
  • The examiner will ask you questions at the end.

ChoiceHub writes these stations itself, from the ground up, across a wide range of clinical topics. They are not official exam material, and no university has written, reviewed or endorsed them. “Recommended for” only suggests the year and exam format a station suits.
