Instructions

You are an intern in a community mental health clinic. Thabo Mokoena, 27, has schizophrenia with persistent voices despite two different antipsychotics. He has agreed with his psychiatrist to start clozapine and is registered with the monitoring program.

  1. Counsel Mr Mokoena on clozapine and agree a plan

Baseline tests

FBC normal (neutrophils 4.2). Troponin and CRP normal. ECG normal. Fasting glucose 5.1; lipids normal. Weight 78 kg.
