Instructions

You are a medical student on placement in general practice. Your next patient is Gabriel Pangilinan, 10 weeks old, brought in by his mother, Kristine, because his feeds are taking a long time.

  1. Take a focused history from his mother

  2. Outline to the examiner:

    • Your most likely diagnosis
  • You do not need to examine Gabriel
  • You do not need to summarise your findings to the examiner
  • The examiner will ask you questions at the end.

ChoiceHub writes these stations itself, from the ground up, across a wide range of clinical topics. They are not official exam material, and no university has written, reviewed or endorsed them. “Recommended for” only suggests the year and exam format a station suits.
