Station - Instructions for candidate
You are a medical student on placement in a general practice in Bunbury.
Dennis Marsh, a 68-year-old retired postal worker, has booked to see the GP because his ankles have been swelling. The practice nurse has recorded his observations. The GP has asked you to see him first.

Your tasks are to:
- Take a focused history.
- Request any relevant investigations.
- State your most likely diagnosis and differential diagnoses to the examiner.
- Outline your initial management plan to the examiner.
- You do NOT need to examine the patient; examination findings will be provided by the examiner on request.
- You do NOT need to summarise your history to the examiner.
This is a 10-minute station, with 2 minutes of reading time.
