Station - Instructions for candidate
You are a fourth-year medical student on placement at a general practice in Subiaco.
Emma Castellano, a 34-year-old marketing manager, has booked a same-day appointment for a cough. The practice nurse has recorded her observations and listened to her chest.
| Nurse's note | Cough for one week following a cold. Temperature 36.8 C, HR 76, BP 118/74, RR 14, SpO2 98% on room air. Chest clear on auscultation. Patient states she 'needs antibiotics before Monday'. |

Your tasks are to:
- Take a focused history.
- Explain the diagnosis to Ms Castellano.
- Discuss your management plan with Ms Castellano.
- You do NOT need to examine the patient.
- You do NOT need to summarise your findings to the examiner.
