Anterior cardiac veins and Thebesian (smallest cardiac) veins

Two to four anterior cardiac veins cross the right atrioventricular groove from the anterior RV wall and open straight into the right atrium, bypassing the coronary sinus. Thebesian veins (venae cordis minimae) are tiny subendocardial channels opening directly into all four chambers.
