Main artery
Leaves the right sinus, runs in the right atrioventricular groove between the pulmonary trunk and right auricle, rounds the acute margin and reaches the crux, where in right dominance it gives the posterior descending and AV nodal arteries.

- RV free wall, SA node in 60%, AV node in 90%, inferior LV wall and posterior third of septum when dominant

- First branch; supplies the RV outflow tract and anastomoses with the LAD (Vieussens ring)
When it goes wrong
RCA occlusion
Inferior STEMI (80% of inferior STEMIs): ST elevation in III greater than II with reciprocal depression in aVL
Proximal RCA occlusion above the acute marginal branch
Inferior STEMI plus right ventricular infarction, sinus bradycardia and AV block
