Obtuse marginal branches of the circumflex
Branch
One to three branches leaving the circumflex to run down the obtuse (left) margin and lateral wall of the left ventricle.
Traced from the start
- Left (posterior) aortic sinus and left main stem
- Left circumflex artery
- Obtuse marginal branches of the circumflex
Detail
- Supplies
- Lateral and posterolateral LV wall; anterolateral papillary muscle with the diagonals
When it goes wrong
Obtuse marginal occlusion
Lateral STEMI in I, aVL, V5 and V6, often with posterior extension; ST elevation in aVL alone with reciprocal depression in III suggests OM1 or D1
