A 64-year-old woman attends the general practice with six weeks of low mood, tearfulness, broken sleep and loss of interest in everything she used to enjoy. Five weeks ago she was started on prednisolone 25 mg daily for polymyalgia rheumatica and her shoulder girdle pain has resolved completely.
