Paediatricsmiddle twist
A 7-month-old girl is referred to a paediatric clinic with slow weight gain. Her weight has fallen from the 50th to the 9th centile over three months while her length and head circumference remain on the 50th. She takes formula and some pureed food. She has no vomiting, diarrhoea or cough and is afebrile. Examination is normal apart from her weight, and her development is age appropriate.
