Acute Caremiddle twist
A 7-year-old girl fell from a scooter onto her outstretched hand yesterday. Her wrist is swollen and tender about 2 cm proximal to the wrist crease, she is using the hand for light tasks, and the fingers are warm with normal sensation and movement. A radiograph shows a bulge in the dorsal cortex of the distal radius with no break in the cortical outline and no angulation. Her mother is anxious because a cousin needed an operation for a broken wrist. Which one of the following should be arranged for her?
