An 18-year-old woman took 30 paracetamol tablets after her relationship ended. She has completed acetylcysteine; at 20 hours her alanine aminotransferase is normal and her paracetamol concentration is undetectable. She now says she does not want to die, is embarrassed, and wants to go home with her mother, who will stay with her.
