A 68-year-old woman comes to the emergency department at 10 pm with four hours of severe right-sided headache and vomiting that began while she was watching a film. She says every light has a rainbow ring around it. The right eye is red, the cornea looks hazy on the slit lamp and the anterior chamber is shallow; the pupil is mid-sized and does not react. Right acuity is 6/60 and left is 6/9. Applanation tonometry records an intraocular pressure of 52 mmHg on the right and 16 mmHg on the left. Which one of the following should be given first?
