A 22-year-old woman presents to the emergency department having cut her forearms after an argument with her flatmate. She describes two hours in which she felt unreal and far away and became convinced the flatmate had been recording her; both experiences had resolved before she arrived. This is her fourth similar presentation this year, always after a relationship rupture, and nothing has ever lasted beyond a day. She now has no perceptual disturbance, no thought disorder and no suicidal intent, and her wounds are superficial. Which one of the following should you arrange on discharge?
